Spelling- this week. Assignment today to write the words three times each.

Math- reviewed the FOIL Method(for Distributive Prop.) and the PENDAS (order of operations. WE will have a quiz over this matrial tomorrow. They have their review sheets in their GO folders.

Science- The students received their science tests back today. I was unable to give them back earlier due to one student was absent and did not take it at the same time. WE have now completed all our objectives in Science for the year. For the next two weeks we will be studying health and first aid.

Reading- We read Chapters 9-11 today and received a worksheet. Worksheets are due tomorrow.

Field Day!! We had  agreat day with all the wonderful activities planned by the PE teachers! We had many great parent volunteers helping us with all the events.

Poetry unit- wrote poems for our Tinme capsule

Spelling- none today!!!

Language Arts- poetry unit. Wrote poems that can go into the Time Capsule for Davis Elem. This will be opened in ten years and then we will view our wonderful poems.

Science- study for the test

Social Studies- Louisiana Purchase

Math- review of Chapter 16 and 17. Test on Friday.

Reading - Danny and the Champion Group 1 Chapters 3-5, Group 2 Chapters 1-4

Tomorrow is the big celebration- Davis's 20th anniversary!!! The time is from 4-6:00. Many people will be visiting that have taught and gone to school here. Hope you can join us!

Please see newsletter that went home today.

Review sheet for the science test went home today. PLease ask to see this. I also stapled 1/2 sheet of paper in your child's assignment book about the test on May 6. PLease sign and return.

Science -homework tonight B46-47 (1-24) we will grade this on Friday.

Math- Please see math review packet we did today in class. We will be taking our last IMI tomorrow in Math. Students need to look over this before tomorrow.

Target day

Yeah! We are finished with CRCT testing!! The students looked like they were doing a good job.

Started a new book in class Danny the Champion of the World. Read chapters 1-3. No homework. A packet will be coming home soon about this book.

Math reviewed for the last IMI. The students will have a review packet tomorrow. Test on Friday.

Spelling- see contract

Students started writing their own plays. A great start with the plays.

Social Studies- states and capitals test tomorrow over Mt. West states. Review sheet went home last week.

Tomorrow is our field trip!!! PLease make sure your child is here no later than 7:45 am. We will be leaving at 8:00 NO EXCEPTIONS!!

Don't forget a lunch and a drink. PLease label them!!

Friday - Field Trip to Ellijay- Important letter went home Monday (green) in their assignment books about the trip.

Please send in an extra pair of shoes, socks and an old towel tomorrow in a labeled bag. Thank you!!

Ellijay Wildlife Sanctuary is a non profit organization that does not receive federal funding to support them. They greatly appreciate any dry dog food to feed their wildlife. If, you would like to send in some dry dog food by Friday I know they would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!

Language Arts- today we read a couple of books about animals in their environments. The students then took the African Savannah book and created their own brochure about this ecosystem. This is due tomorrow.
