Dear Boys and Girls, It was a short week, but we had a week filled with fun and learning. We learned lots of "juicy details" about all the nocturnal animals, especially bats and owls. We also learned about the American bald eagle, one of our national symbols. I hope you will all do many chores this week so we can collect lots of "Quarters for Turkeys". Love, Barney

Did you guesstimate how much candy was in the big bear? The winner was from Mrs. Marcus' Class!
There were 690 pieces of candy. And the winner was...Leah!! She predicted 675, only 15 away from the actual number. Yeh, Leah!
YUMMERS! - We Made Jack-O-Lantern Cookies!
We mixed yellow and red frosting to make orange pumpkins. Then we put all the pieces together to make some funny faces!

Learning where we live on the map has proven to be a very difficult concept for the children to learn. I created these Powerpoints so this skill can be practiced at home. The slides with the school should be replaced with your personal house number and street. I hope these help the children be more successful with this skill.
